There is a show, a spectacle, that is put on for the public. But where does power come from in the capitalist world? It comes from money. It doesn't matter what percent of the population approves or disapproves of a policy. As long as the media, academia, the security apparatus and the politicians stay bought--and under capitalism they will--policy is determined by those with money. They determine the message, the school curriculum, who gets hired, who gets fired, who gets heard, who is ignored, who gets promoted, who gets appointed, who the major candidates are, and who the cabinet and the judges will be. They determine the lies and the propaganda that are fed to the populace over and over and over again until the nonsense is thoroughly imbedded in their brains as unquestionable truth. That's it. Now we've come to an inflection point. Money can do pretty much anything in capitalist society. But can it direct that society to commit suicide? Can it push the buttons of the Empire such that it embarks on a war that all the generals and all the admirals and the entire intelligence apparatus know it will definitively lose with catastrophic military and economic consequences? That, it seems to me, is the question. And we're going to find out the answer very soon.

Despite the sincere intentions, this elaborate essay is a good example of reductionist confounding of social psychopathy (the Israeli Zionist project) with individual psychopathy. Replace Netanyahu with any of the previous prime minsters of the Zionist entity and the outcome would not be substantially different. For instance, would anyone with knowledge of Israel’s history really think that if Ariel Sharon was the PM now, the behavior of the psychopathic entity would be fundamentally different? The problem is much much deeper than one despicable terrorist when the whole nation is constructed on the basis of rabid settler colonial plunder and terrorism!
