Very good, Patrick. I do have two observations. One, you started with Donnie Murdo. So will I. You live in Connecticut but I don't know for how long you've lived there. But I was born there and, even though I was a military brat, I was usually there for some period of time each year back in the embrace of my family (both my mother's and father's side) and rooting for the Boston Red Sox. If I had rooted for the NY Yankees, I swear that my Uncle Jack would have skinned me alive. What was wrong with the Yankees? New York is the root of all evil. Most Connecticut Yankees (i.e. not those living in the vicinity of Westport or Darien) that I've known think of New Yorkers in the terms you applied to Donnie Murdo.

Two. I share your fear of a Biden regime. But let me put it in slightly different terms. I call the Republicans the authoritarian liberals and the Democrats the paternalistic liberals. The difference can be seen in how they will respond to a burning issue that, for some unknown reason, has not been dealt with by Washington. Toilet seat up or down. If a Republican regime is the one to deal with it, they will make it a misdemeanor with a max penalty of a $1,000 fine and 6 months in the can (yeah, that was deliberate). If a Democratic regime deals with it, they'll have one of their damn regulatory bodies issue a regulation requiring the toilet seat to be permanently affixed to the toilet bowl and thus immovable.

Neither one will think for a minute that it's none of the government's business.

I hope that helps.
