I too saw this elsewhere first. But it is well worth repeating.

Maybe someone can help me. I seemed to remember seeing an article describing a November 2021 attack on several Romany in Kiev. I thought I saw it on Amnesty International’s website. I discovered it while researching Russian claims of neo-Nazis in Ukraine. According to the article the Mayor of Kiev applauded the attack on the Romanis. Now however if I search AI’s website I cannot find this article, rather articles on Russian cruelty in Ukraine. Has this really been scrubbed by AI or was I dreaming?

Manipulation of algorithms is making it harder and harder to find information. It's an aspect of intentional censorship. That said, here are two articles I found about attacks against Roma people by Ukrainian nazis:

I cannot speak to this particular attack (although I recall it well) but LOTS of Ukrainian events have been memory-holed in recent years.

Thank you, I was worried I had just made it up. But maybe that is the point if a media constantly telling the same lie over and over, those who doubt them start second guessing themselves.

I believe that this also featured in the beginning of "1984".
