Honestly I could care less if the US immolates itself with its demented military policies. What I don't want is for the rest of the World to be detroyed because of gross American hubris!

I think not, Mr. Carden. I have the same sinking feeling I had when Shrub brought his crew of neo-cons and cold warriors to DC in 2001. What I think of as "The Washington Consensus", that is to say the belief with messianic certainty that the US should be the world leader and the world should dance to our tune, will be in full control in the new regime in Washington. I don't think that the rest of the world will buy it. I think they've seen that pretty much everything we've done has failed and the world is worse off dancing to Washington's tune. Time, as the weathermen like to say, will tell. But I suspect it's gonna get ugly.

A national security policy of full spectrum dominance doesn't help. It actually harms national security because it is structured to provoke other powerful nations!

Actually, the concept of full spectrum dominance is a military one meaning that you can dominate a battlefield on land, in the air, and on the sea. When you have a political leader (Joe Biden) speechifying that the US is back to lead with his "fresh thinking team" of neo-con and cold warrior retreads and you have a military that thinks they have FSD, you have a recipe for disaster. The real problem is an imperial aspiration.
